Dalya Guérin is a director and screenwriter, known for Air (2018) and Claws Out (2019). Born and raised in France to a Syrian mother and a French father, she completed her PhD in Political Science and Communication in 2013. She moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to fully embrace her creative side. Her screenplay Air was awarded Best Short Screenplay at the Glendale International Film Festival 2018. She won a Best Director award at the Independent Short Film Festival of Los Angeles and a Best Narrative Short award at the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood. In 2020, she directed an award-winning audio-drama, The Last Magician, produced by Savvy Creative Media. Mystery, thriller and horror are her genres of choice, as they allow her to question the darkest contradictions of our society through conflicted characters. She continues to actively develop film, music video, audio-dramas and television projects with the talented creatives she meets in Los Angeles, with a particular passion for social justice, women's rights and animal causes. Her projects in development include Locked, a dystopian film on abortion, T. died, a dark comedy about celebrity, and Maybehood, a super-natural family drama playing with the theme of redemption. She also collaborates with edgy and pioneering artists for concept and music videos.
