Dina M. Saleh

At the age of six, Dina M. Saleh began showcasing her artistic talent, by creating low-budget homemade videos of her parents. She would always have a smile on her face - completely oblivious to her two missing front teeth. Today, Dina M. Saleh is pursuing her undying passion for storytelling as a Palestinian/Jordanian filmmaker in Jordan. Back in 2018, Saleh graduated with honors from NYU Abu Dhabi with a BA in Film and New Media. She also studied at the prestigious Tisch school of the Arts, NYU Prague, NYU Shanghai, and NYU Sydney to complete her studies. She has written, directed, and edited 5 short films while at NYU Abu Dhabi. Saleh's latest short film Falasttini 'Kohh' has been selected by a number of film festivals internationally. After graduating, she worked directly with locally well-known producers and directors such as Tima Shomali, Nadine Toukan, Nathan Bennett, Handi Eleyan, and Sharif Majali on two Netflix shows, a Reel LA production, and an independent documentary as an associate producer, researcher, and creative assistant. Saleh also produced and codirected a short film titled Wain Rayha in 2020. As an aspiring director, Saleh accumulated experiences in front and behind the camera to experience the industry from multiple points of view. Saleh focuses her talents on creating stories that are inspired by Jordanian society to deeply explore the human condition, and amplify Jordan's cultural identity locally and globally. She is intrigued by the concept of identity and how it manifests in the world today.
