Anne von Petersdorff holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University and a Master in Culture and Media studies from the University of Flensburg where she researched different forms and representations of human mobility, migration, tourism and travel, cosmopolitanism, and the role of technology in an increasingly globalized world. Her first feature documentary Wanderlust, cuerpos en tránsito (2017, co-produced and directed with Maria Perez Escala) explores the experience of female travellers and has been invited to several international film festivals in Europe and Latin America and aired on national TV in Argentina. Anne started her career in the film industry as a production assistant and post-production supervisor for TV commercials in Hamburg and Milan, worked on the German cinema production "Deutschland 09", and as a line producer for a short film production within the cast & cut fellowship of the German film fund Nordmedia. In 2011 she participated in the workshop "The construction of documentary in the audiovisual field" at the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Banos in Havana. In 2015 she formed part of the Film Festival Selection Committee for the Festival de Cine Latinoamericano in La Plata.
