Álvaro Sanz Alonso

Álvaro is a photographer and film maker with over 20 years of experience in these fields. Music and nature have always been his passions and he is naturally curious and impulsive. Since 2001 he work as a University professor at several Design schools . He has worked for Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite on international campaigns, for Land Rover, Olympus, McCallan, Juve & Camps and many other commercial brands. He has directed several documentaries, - La cumbre es el camino (2020) - in which he tells of the feat of three boys with intellectual disabilities to reach Everest Base Camp in winter in extreme conditions; or his - Hoy es Primavera (2013) - , based on the true story of Nina da Lua and - Horizonte Norte (2018) - , where Álvaro tells us the story of his friend Juan Sisto, who traveled from southern Chile to Alaska with the only company of his bike. Álvaro is the founder of Expedición Polar, a community created by photography lovers who like adventure and traveling as much as he does. He is currently working on his next documentary. Since 2015 he is Olympus Visionary.
