David began his on screen acting career in 1999 in the Film-4 production 'The Necrofile' playing a vampire slaying' sound engineer. He then focused on a 15-year career as a professional Kung-Fu instructor until he was asked to work as a special action performer on the set of DC Comics Wonder Woman and was given a featured role, it was here he was approached by a highly-recognized Motion Picture Cinematographer, who suggested that David pursue a career as a full-time professional actor. On his return to acting, his first spoken role in Cinemas was screened in the 2018 urban tragedy Cleft Lip by renown director Erik Knudson. David trains weekly with specialist screen acting coach Matt Zina, casting agent and founder of the internationally acclaimed 'Yorkshire School of Acting'. Focusing heavily on the techniques of Meisner, Adler and Stanislavsky, to create honest and truthful reactions on screen. David has steadily developed a modern acting method, and an understanding of the theory behind TV and Film acting, that casting directors have come to demand. He continues to learn and grow as an actor constantly honing his skills, and is deeply dedicated to this life-long learning process, with a love and passion for the industry David Childs loves being a father and husband, to him these are his most important roles... To improve David's acting ability he also studies disciplines such as Ballet, Singing, Filmmaking, Screen Combat and Stunt Performance, and is consistently working on his own screenplays and filming productions... Sifu David has trained and taught extensively in the Wing Chun Martial Art system and lineage that made Bruce Lee famous. Supervised by the most highly recognized Kung-Fu instructors in the world, David passes on the system to a few select students in the traditional Cantonese style, while focusing on his acting career. David also practices techniques of Qigong, Dim-Mak, Tui-Na, Chin-Na, Shaolin Kung-Fu, and Boxing.
