Born in London Joshua spent his first five years in Twickenham with his mother, father and Grandparents, before moving to South Africa to attend school. He spent the next twelve years attending what was at the time Hillcrest Christian Academy, before graduating from what is now Curro Hillcrest High with academic excellence. While in school he was very involved in the arts and worked his way into the acting industry in Durban, Performing in multiple professional productions at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre. It was here that he was introduced to Steven Stead, who was assistant director at the English Opera House for ten years. Seeing potential in Joshua, Steven worked with him multiple times over his years in South Africa. After finishing school, Joshua moved back to his home address in the UK where he now stays.
