Mikhail Parkhomenka

Mikhail Parkhomenka was born on the 5th of March 1992 in family of a teacher and a doctor in Mogilev, Belarus. In childhood was very interested in music and photography, learned playing guitar. After finishing school, he entered Belarussian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. On his second year participated video courses at university which gave him basic skills of cinematography and video editing. At the same time he started traveling and making travel-videos which won prizes in thematic competitions. Made a documentary about Norway. On his last year at university he started working as an engineer and a programmer. After graduating from university in 2014 he continued his creative activities: took part in competitions, grants and festivals. In addition he started improving his scriptwriter and producer and cinematography skills. In January 2015 Mikhail gathered a team and made his first short movie "Deliver it personally" which took 3rd place in international competition "How to make a movie in 60 hours". In May 2015 he created "One hundred seventeen" which took 1st place on the second part of that competition. In June 2015 Mikhail decided to quit his IT job in order to devote himself entirely to cinematography and film making. In June 2015 he won a grant for making his another movie "Relay Race" when taking part in Kinosprint competition. Film production took him half a year and at the end movie won Grand Prix.
