Donald Taylor Black

Educated at Trinity College Dublin, where he was Chairman of Dublin University Players, before training as a theatre director at the Abbey Theatre, Ireland's national theatre. Formerly Chairman of the MEDIA Project for the Creative Documentary, which was part of the first European Union MEDIA Programme and based in Copenhagen. Head of the Department of Film and Media at the Institute of Art, Design & Technology, just outside Dublin, (2001-2016) and Creative Director of The National Film School (2006-2016). Elected member of the European Film Academy in 2010.
