Violet Blythe born in 1890. English beautiful curly-brunette who became a well-known actress and singer in comedy/musical theatre and music hall theatre from the late 1900s. She often appeared on stage and screen with husband Lupino Lane whom she married in 1917. She appeared in few film roles, her first was called 'Popular Song Favourite' a silent musical which was a dramatisation of songs synchronising with singer on stage made by the Tress studios in 1916, the following year she starred in a short comedy 'Hullo! Who's Your Lady Friend?' directed by W.P. Kellino and starring her husband Lupino for the Homeland Film Company. Violet and Lupino arrived in Hollywood in the mid 1920s and starred in a series of short comedies until the advent of talkies. Lupino continued to star and direct in British sound films until the late 1930s.
