Born in Fullerton, California. Educated at Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Ca. Earned BA and MA degrees in Theatre from Cal State Fullerton and MFA in Acting from UCLA in 1989. He took an "hiatus" from professional acting for a mere 18 years to become a full time professor of theatre at Monterey Peninsula College. He retired from that position (having served the last 15 years as chair or co-chair of the department) in August of 2016. While there he produced and/or directed some 40+ musicals, comedies and dramas as well as appearing as a guest artist in several other productions. Retirement has allowed him to return to his first love - acting. He has already appeared in three different stage productions as Equity guest artist and continues to work (and seek work) in the Bay Area and beyond. He lives in North Monterey County with his wife of 36 years (Sherie). They have a rescue dog (Scully) that is a border collie and basenji mixed breed.
