Bookey completed his first film project, "Attack of the Killer Bean Bags," in the 7th grade with two friends. The 8mm color, sync-sound piece borrowed from Alien (1979), The Blob (1958) and Fellini's Roma (1972). The influences of Bookey, who has traveled and lived in both India and Japan, include directing legends Satyajit Ray, Akira Kurosawa, and Rod Serling, as well as actors Kevin Spacey and Gary Oldman. Bookey holds degrees in communications (UCSD), law (BU) and public relations (BU).
