Sammy Bruggeman

Sammy Bruggeman is a young actor/singer/songwriter from Belgium who is renowned for his creativity and project-starting skills. He studied Performing Arts in Belgium and also studied at the Laine Theatre Arts school in London. At 13 he received a royal award from Belgium for his band group in which he had been participating since the age of three. He started playing drums when only a toddler and at nine he was already composing songs. By then he had acquired very advanced piano skills and was considered ahead of his time for his age. During the development of his career he ran a large danceclub/bar called The Villa in Hamme and also started up Stargate Records with he long-time colleague Peter van der Hallen. He often guest-stars in Belgium's popular TV soap 'Familie'. His first music video "Laat me Maar' was the first in the Flemish language to be broadcast on MTV. A TV biography about him called 'Born with the Music' was produced in 1996 and aired on PBS. He has sparked off several TV show ideas for Belgium, some of which have made it beyond Belgian's borders. Sammy is probably best known for his novel ideas and creative 'lateral' thinking.
