Frank Burt was the stage name for Augustus Berek, who performed as a vaudevillian, was also a comedian, dancer, and self-taught musician (he played the flute, among other instruments). He first went on stage when he was 16 (as a dancer) and for many years he and his wife toured in vaudeville as "Burt and Rosedale." The act played the Palace, NY, as well as the vaudeville circuit. Their colorful careers were recounted in the book and film "Mother Wore Tights" (actually, it was an evening gown). After vaudeville, Burt worked for a time as a refrigerator salesman.
