Antony J. Bowman

Antony J. Bowman, was born and educated in Sydney, Australia. He studied at the London Film School before making his name as an Australian writer/director, with an obvious flair for comedy. Before his feature films, Bowman, wrote and directed several short films and two acclaimed drama documentaries - receiving a Silver Screen Award at the Chicago International Film Festival and a Bronze at the New York Film Festival. Antony Bowman's breakthrough feature was an adaptation of his novel, Paperback Hero (1999). This movie achieved "in competition" status at both the Hollywood and Milan Film Festivals.
