Peruvian-American Donna Bonilla Wheeler is a film, theatre and episodic writer and director based in the U.S. She's known for the indie family comedy, Death of a Saleswoman, streaming in U.S. and international markets on multiple platforms and sold at Cannes and Berlinale; as well as for writing, directing and editing the experimental short, Mind's Eye, sold at Cannes market; for segment directing on Supernanny for Oprah Winfrey Network; for writing and directing The Girl Next Door short film, winner of Remi Award at WorldFest Houston 54; and for writing and directing branded and commercial content for clients including Walt Disney Productions, Johnson & Johnson/ Neutrogena, Westfield Malls and TimeWarner. Her scripted projects are Academy Nicholl Fellowships semi-finalists, Austin 2nd Rounders, Sundance Lab finalists, Film Independent Lab finalists, Gotham No Borders selects, Slamdance Lab selects, MIPTV series finalist selects, and Stowe Story Lab finalists. She has additional backgrounds in post production for studios and networks; ad agency work; casting; and comedy writing.
