"I am taken as an autobiographical director, and I must say that my autobiography is completely made up. The most accurate memories are the ones I put in the films." Federico Fellini was one of the greatest Italian masters. Influenced by comics, circus and esotericism, he developed from a very early age a playful and magical gaze to which we owe a filmography loaded with both truth and fantasy, with unique characters with a universal sensibility and an imaginary of irreplicable beauty. In Fellini's cinema the temporal experience is a spectrum where discerning between dream and reality is an unnecessary whim, rather surrender to his universe and delight in laughter to the point of tears. Throughout his career he won dozens of awards, including four Oscars for Best Foreign Film for "La Strada" (1957), "Li notti di Cabiri" (1958), "8 ½" (1964) and "Amarcord" (1975). In addition, in 1993 he was honored with an Honorary Oscar.
