Carrie-Anne Moss is a Canadian actress who began her career in television while living in Spain, landing her first role in the drama series Dark Justice. She moved with the production to Los Angeles in 1992 and honed her craft at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena. After years of steady work across television, she gained worldwide recognition as Trinity in The Matrix series, a role that required intense physical training and a demanding audition. Her acclaimed performance in Christopher Nolan’s Memento (2000) earned her the Independent Spirit Award, followed by a Genie Award for Snow Cake (2006). On television, she is known for portraying attorney Jeri Hogarth in Marvel’s Jessica Jones (2015–2019).
