Steve Andreno was born in New York. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to study engineering, but instead fell in love with acting. His first role was as the lead, Mr. Zero, in The Adding Machine by Elmer Rice. He moved to the L.A. area at the age of twenty. While taking acting classes, he was advised to sign up with an extra agency that was casting high school looking actors for a new kids show, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. While on set his first day as an extra, he was asked to try on the costume for Baboo, as the character was needed for a location shoot the following week. It wasn't until that shoot was completed, that Steve was made aware that Baboo was a regular character on the show. Steve went on to play Baboo for all of seasons 2 and 3. He also had some other roles as an extra on different projects, including Days of Our Lives, E.R., and Panthers (film-1995), as well as his first credited role as IRS Agent #1 in The F-Zone. Steve left acting behind when he eloped and moved to Las Vegas with his wife, Candace Andreno, in October of 1995. They have two daughters, Elizabeth and Katherine. While he wasn't actively pursuing any acting roles, he never lost his love for it. Whilst attending comic conventions since 2019, he has made several contacts that have led to him returning to acting.
