António Bagão Felix

Graduated in Finance from ISCEF (Instituto Superior de Ciências Económicas e Financeiras, Technical University of Lisbon), and made a professional career as consultant and top level administrator in the insurance and banking services. In politics, he was Member of Patliament (1983-1985) by the Portuguese Christian Democrat party (CDS), Secretary of State for Social Security in three short-lived Portuguese governments (1980-1983), Secretary of State for Employment and Labor Training in the 11th Portuguese government (1987-1991), and became Minister for Social Security and Labor Relations in the 15th Portuguese government (2002). He is known for varied cultural interests, from agriculture and gardening, through music and arts to collecting hourglasses and ancient clocks.
