Cláudio Barreto

Antônio Cláudio de Muniz Barreto, also known as Cláudio Barreto, was composer and musician. Before working with music, he helped on the production of some movies, including Bye Bye Brasil, directed by your uncle, Luís Carlos Barreto. In the beginning of the 80's, Cláudio worked as musician in some dance parties, and them idealized and formed "O Espírito da Coisa", a rock group with performance based on theatrical sketches, most known due to the song "Ligeiramente Grávida", a very popular hit in Brazilian radio stations in the summer of 1985/1986. On December 6h 1986, Cláudio was murdered in Resende (southern of the Rio de Janeiro estate). The circumstances are still unknown, but his family and his friends still believe it as a result of crime of passion.
