Aristodemo "Béby" Frediani and his older brother, Guglielmo "Willy" Frediani, was the son of an acrobat, circus director, Auguste Frediani, born in Florence in 1846. Auguste Frediani, originally shoemaker, started in show business in the late 1860s as "gymnast" and "mime". He staged an acrobatic number with his brother Eugenio who was acclaimed all over Europe and particularly in Prague in 1875, Germany in 1880 at the Cirque Fernando in 1884, London in 1885 and in Brussels in 1887. Béby and his brother Willy, started very young with the "Cirque Toscan" where their father staged a spectacular number of acrobatics, engaged at the Nouveau Cirque de Paris in 1900 and then by Barnum & Bailey in 1908. In 1918 Béby, after a series of injuries, began to perform as a clown. He then formed a duo with the already famous white clown Antonet. A collaboration that lasted for fifteen successful years. After their separation in 1933, Béby was working with other great white clowns, including Maiß, Pastis, Alex and Pipo.
