With an impressive portfolio of over 90 credits, Kia has honed a diverse range of skills, enabling her to produce a wide array of projects, including music videos, TV pilots, network promos, and socially relevant documentaries. Complementing her artistic expertise, Kia holds a Bachelor's degree in Filmmaking and a Minor in Business from Santa Fe University of Arts and Design, reflecting her steadfast dedication to advancing her craft. Before focusing on producing, Kia diligently honed her skills in roles such as a union Camera Assistant, Telecine Colorist/Color Grader, Commercial Production Coordinator, and VFX Coordinator/Liaison to Director at Rhythm & Hues. These formative experiences provided her with valuable insights, allowing her to approach production with a comprehensive and multifaceted perspective. Kia's projects have garnered numerous awards and accolades. Notably, her works have received multiple nominations and prestigious wins, including Best Short Film for "Hallways & Doors," Best Feature Documentary for "Mile... Mile & A Half," and Best Music Video for Keb' Mo's "America the Beautiful." Recently, Kia received six Telly Awards for her contributions to the extensive Pareto Labs educational library. And a Telly for her work on Media Access Awards. Her remarkable feature documentary, "Spiritual Liberation," even earned recognition from Oprah, who recommended it to her audience. Kia's influence and achievements have garnered well-deserved recognition, including nominations for the esteemed Women Making a Difference Award by the Los Angeles Business Journal from 2013 to 2019. These acknowledgments affirm her unwavering dedication to effecting meaningful change and pushing the boundaries of storytelling. She is a respected member of the Producers Guild of America, where she has played a vital role as a founding member of the Social Impact Entertainment Task Force and formerly served as Co-Chair of the Employment Committee.
