Delfy De Ortega was born Delfina Felipa Bonomo in Italy in 1920. She came to Argentina when she was a little girl with her parents. In the 30s, she started her career in movies and theater. She took the lead in several movies such as El hermoso Brummel (1951), _Paraíso robado ( 1952)_, Al compás de tu mentira (1950), among others. Also, she was a pioneer in radio performances because of her beautiful voice. In 1964 she headed the cast of one of the most well-known soap operas, El amor tiene cara de mujer (1964) written by Nene Cascallar. The soap opera kept her working for more than 6 years as the main character. She continued working as a supporting actress until her death, on September 22, 1995. On sets, she was the first to show up and the last to leave. She was loved by her co-workers who described her as a beautiful, sweet, and very professional woman. She loved to cook. In fact, she used to bring her own food for her co-workers on sets. Said to be one of the most beautiful and stylish actresses in Argentina. Delfy died at the age of 75 in General Rodriguez, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
