A popular radio comedian in the 1940s and 50s in Britain, Reg Dixon's signature tune was 'Confidentially' which he wrote himself. A burly figure he wore a trilby hat his catchphrase was 'I'm not well, I'm proper poorly.' In the 1950s he took over from the film comedian George Formby in the stage musical 'Zip Goes A Million' at London's Palace Theatre. He made several minor films and many television guest appearances later in his career.
