Raised in Queens, New York, at fifteen Dinelli began studying acting at The American Academy Of Dramatic Arts. He soon moved on the work with famed acting guru Lee Strasberg, Wynn Handman and Stella Adler. While appearing in the Off Broadway production of "In the Boom Boom Room he was seen by the playwright David Rabe and cast in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of "The Basic Training Of Pavlo Hummell starring Al Pacino. He went on to work at the prestigious Hartford Stage Company, Circle In The Square and eventually cast in the Off Broadway hit "Extremities" replacing James Russo as the lead opposite Farrah Fawcett. At this time Dinelli began writing. His first play "The Soliloquy Of Bernie Ludd" had it's world premier at the West Coast Actors Studio. His second play "High Tension in the Tropics" was adapted into the movie "Burning Down The House" starring John Savage. He worked as a staff writer in the C.B.S. series "Dellaventura starring Danny Aiello. His short film "Cash Deal" starring singer Frankie Valli won five festival awards. He has since written and directed numerous documentaries and shorts. He is in preparing his first feature film "The Bicycle" He is also the brother of Jack Cole an award winning music video director
