Born as Hollywood royalty Robin L. Dimension originally Robin M. Gordon came three months early to parents Sara Marie Redd (cousin to Korla Pandit IMDb) and Marcus Melvin Gordon [IMDb] on December 25, 1961. Her father was the successful talent manager and producer for artists like The Fifth Dimension, [IMDb], Tony Orlando [IMDb] and Dawn and Elton John [IMDb] and later he married famous Grammy award singer Florence LaRue [IMDb] of the The Fifth Dimension [IMDb]. She has two younger brothers Chris Gordon [IMDb] known film editor and Geoffrey Lee Gordon aka G.Lee Gordon [IMDb] of famed Indie films. As a Native American and African American descent she was raised in Pacific Palisades, California where she started her acting career being featured in National Commercials at the age of 5. During her Harvard-Westlake school days she was the lead and starred in such performances as Frankie and Johnny, Flower Drum Song and Oliver. Robin was awarded a scholarship for dance by Cicely Tyson with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Receiving more scholarships, lead her to a position with San Antonio Ballet Company and onto Alvin Ailey Dance Company II (1982-85) in New York where she was featured at the American Music Festival in "The Emperor Jones". Robin went back to Hollywood to continue her work in television doing guest spots on shows like Robert Townsend Special, HBO and Simply Mad About The Mouse, Disney. In film she debuted in Zapped Again [IMDb] and worked on the box office hit Coming to America [IMDb]. In Los Angeles she was also an active member of the L.A. Connection Improv Theatre and in New York she studied at HB Studios the Acting Without Agony Academy (AWAA). Most recently she was in the Dream Up Festival NYC in Eleanor Duse DIes in Pittsburgh as Enrichetta. She is married to Jose Paulissen-Dougan.
