Barbara Dourmashkin-Case was born in New York and is the daughter of Dr Leonard Dourmashkin and Bernice Dourmashkin. She now resides in Sherman Oaks California with her husband, architect Geoffrey Case. She has two daughters, Natasha Jenny Case and Sarah Kimberely Dourmashkin Case. She began her career producing and animating spots for Sesame Street. She has worked as a Director, Producer, Animator, Designer, Writer and layout Artist in Animation. She has worked on staff for over twenty years at Disney Television animation and DisneyToons which was part of Disney feature animation. Through her company Dourmashkin productions , she has produced forty films and commercials, including national commercials for UNICEF, the Girl Scouts, Sears, Library of congress and others. Barbara Dourmashkin has also worked for Warner Bros, Nickelodeon, Universal, Dreamworks and many other studios as an animation Director. Barbara Dourmashkin has two published books that she has written and illustrated, "Peggy Day's Martha's Vineyard Adventure" and Truman's Los Angeles Adventure." She received her BA from Brandeis University and her MA from UC Berkeley and attended and taught at the San Francisco Art Institute.
