Carole Ducharme

Carole Ducharme is an award-winning writer, director, and producer. She is the founder of Witness Productions Inc. based in Vancouver, British-Columbia, Canada. Witness Productions is a production company dedicated to creating innovative films and television programs that shatter boundaries and explode stereotypes. Carole writes, directs and produces projects in English and in French. When developing her own projects, Carole chooses stories which reflect the comedy and drama of the human experience, stories which entertain, make people laugh, enlighten, and help people be more compassionate towards each other. Carole was born in Montreal and graduated from the University of Montreal's Law School. After specializing in film financing, she worked in Paris, France, as Head of International Co-Productions. Residing in Vancouver since 1996, Carole Ducharme has been writing, directing, and producing documentaries, reality series, youth series, animated television series and short fiction films. Additionally, Carole has written and developed the highly acclaimed feature film script The Women of My Life , with the assistance of Telefilm Canada, BC Film, The Harold Greenberg Fund, Movie Central, and the National Screen Institute Features First Program. The Women of My Life was a finalist at the Moondance International Film Festival 2006 Screenplay Competition (Hollywood), a quarter-finalist in the 2006 Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards (USA) and was invited to the French Production Forum in Namur, Belgium.
