Marían was born in the Mediterranean city of Palma in the island of Majorca, but following her dream to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles, she went overseas to work. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute with Anthony Caldarella, Marc Marno, Jack Betts, Susan Anspach, Bob Lipton, and Al Corley, among others. In L.A. Rodgers, Cosimo Fusco, Warren Sweeney, and Lou Casal, among others, in "A View From The Bridge", a production that landed 8 Drama-Logue Awards. Johnston, Susan Priver, Josette DiCarlo, Jennifer Rhodes, Nicolas Read, Robert Ruth, Lou Casal, Warren Sweeny, Leonard Kelly Young, Peter Allas, Vincent Guastaferro, Howard Mungo, James DiStefano, Joe Basile, Robert Zachar, Lou Wagner, and Richard Zavaglia among others. This play was nominated for the Best Ensemble Performance Award in the 96'LAWeekly Theater Awards, and won 11 of the 1996 Drama-Logue Awards. During her time in L.A and after a period of time waitressing, Marian freelanced as audiovisual translator & interpreter, and as entertainment journalist, becoming a member of the MPAA (Motion Picture Academy Association of America) association.
