Born in Detroit and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Daniel Chace received actor training at the University of Michigan (B.A.) and Yale School of Drama (M.F.A.). Working in regional theater and independent films, he appeared opposite Sandra Bullock in the feature, "Who Shot Patakango?" Other film credits include a lead in an award-winning foreign feature film, "Karanlik Sular" ("The Serpent's Tale") and as Gene Roddenberry in "Roddenberry on Patrol." Chace has directed several theater productions in Los Angeles and served as an instructor and director at the Stella Adler Academy. He has privately coached actors of all levels. In collaboration with actor/director Tim Russ, Chace co-produced and co-starred in a comedy series for the web, entitled "The Art Police." In 2013 he produced and co-directed a feature-length documentary entitled "PERSEVERANCE: The Story of Dr. Billy Taylor." The film was licensed and presented in 2013/2014 by the Big Ten Network.
