Michael Cera

Michael Cera began his artistic formation with improvisation classes at The Second City in Toronto, entering performance through early work in commercials that involved audition and on-set processes as a child. He progressed to television series that required adaptation to scripted episodic production and ensemble work, and he co-created and starred in an online series with a close collaborator that involved writing, directing, producing, and editing duties. Cera’s screen work spans television, film, and voice roles, and he has also integrated music and narrative by contributing to soundtracks and performing with bands. In addition to screen media, he expanded into stage work with productions that moved from Sydney to Broadway.
