Jack Chapman

Credited as Jack Chapman in The Masked Rider, the actor playing Captain Jack of the Texas Rangers was actually local rancher George Chapman, who performed in a few silent films for San Antonio film producer Tom McGeeney (Lone Star/Shamrock Films) before 1920. He owned a huge ranch called the Rincon Ranch in South Texas, near the Mexican border. He always worked as a foreman on a big ranch, and only lived with his wife when he had a suitable place for her. Otherwise, she lived in Lytle, Texas and sewed for a living. The couple had no children.
