Composer, author, conductor and arranger, educated at New York University (BA). He composed, arranged and conducted variety shows at the university, and led his own band, the Rajahs of Rhythm. During World War II he was a radio operator overseads, and also Special Services I & E, public relations. Afterwards he came to California to arrange, compose and conduct for records and television. Joining ASCAP in 1953, his chief musical collaborators were Carl Lertzman, Roger Davenport and George Howe. His popular-song compositions included "Santa Claus Junior", "Cakewalk Rag", "Count Your Blessings", "So Exciting", "Back Street", "Tip Toe Tango", and "Lonely People Waltz"
