Caio Gullane is the co-founder of Gullane and has been working as a Producer and Executive Producer since 1996 on numerous Brazilian and international audiovisual projects. He has participated in co-productions in the USA, Japan, India, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, and Uruguay. Some of his projects have been officially selected and awarded at major international festivals, including Cannes, Berlin Festival, Venice, Toronto, and Sundance. Among his most notable works are: * *"Carandiru"* by Hector Babenco - Cannes Competition * *"Que Horas Ela Volta?"* (*The Second Mother*) by Anna Muylaert - Awarded at Sundance and Berlin * *"Motel Destiny"* by Karim Aïnouz - Cannes Competition * *"The Traitor"* by Marco Bellocchio - Cannes Competition * *"The Year My Parents Went on Vacation"* - Brazil's official submission for the 2008 Academy Awards * *"A Wolf at the Door"* by Fernando Coimbra - Awarded at the San Sebastián Festival Caio is a prominent figure in the Brazilian audiovisual market, specializing in artistic development and production planning. He is recognized for his practical vision, strategic planning, and talent management skills, combining creativity and experience. He is one of the founders and a board member of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema and has been a voting member of the International Emmy Awards since 2018. He is also part of the community of filmmakers serving as jurors for the Platino Awards, dedicated to Ibero-American Cinema. In 2024, Caio released three feature films: *"A Metade de Nós"* by Flávio Botelho (Audience Award at the 47th São Paulo International Film Festival), *"Ninguém Sai Vivo Daqui"* by André Ristum, *"Motel Destiny"* by Karim Aïnouz, and *"Noah's Ark"* by Sérgio Machado and Alois di Leo, the largest Brazilian animation ever made, co-produced with Brazil/USA/India. Before its domestic debut, the animation was sold to over 70 countries. In 2025, he is set to release two more feature films: * *"Os Enforcados"* by Fernando Coimbra * *"Bituca"*, a film narrating the story and final concert of singer Milton Nascimento * *"Família de Sorte"*, a comedy directed by Viviane Ferreira Caio also produces TV and streaming series, including: * *"Nobody's Looking"* by Daniel Rezende - Winner of the International Emmy Award for Best TV Series * *"Sintonia"* by Johnny Araújo for Netflix * *"BA.O - The Future is Dead"* directed by André Ristum, Denis Cisma, Mariana Youssef, and Marcelo Mesquita for MAX/HBO * *"Carcereiros"* directed by José Eduardo Belmonte and Fernando Grostein Andrade for Globoplay * *"Senna"* mini-series by Vicente Araújo, with General Direction by Vicente Amorim and directed by Vicente Amorim and Júlia Rezende, released on Netflix in 2024.
