Craig Haffner is a Tony Award nominated Broadway Producer and an Emmy award winning television Writer/Producer . His work spans commercial media and entertainment industries with periods as "talent" and "management". Craig's Hollywood writing career launched in situation comedies for CBS and ABC and progressed into marketing & advertising at CBS and ABC Networks. This included executive and producing jobs for the ABC Television Network and the ABC station group including KABC TV from 1983-1987. As cable television dawned Craig founded Greystone Films & Television (1986-2006) which produced hundreds of hours of factual, scripted and live event programming as well as feature films. In 2007 Craig became a founding partner of New Comic(book) Company, raising funding and purchasing all rights to the Warren Publications comic book and graphic novel titles Creepy Magazine, Eerie Magazine. As a Co Editor on newly created material Craig is the recipient of the comic industries highest honor, the Eisner Award. The Creepy and Eerie brands were the largest "unattached" trove of comic stories and art in the marketplace and viewed as the next "Marvel Comics". Partnerships have been established with Dark Horse Comics, ICM Talent Agency and Mosaic Management. Current development includes feature films, television series-both live action and animated, internet and mobile plus an enormous collection of print material. Additionally non comic book development of feature film, television projects is on going through Grand Canal Films Works. Broadway theater projects developed through several newly founded partnerships began in 2008 with Allan Knee's The Jazz Age and John Berendt's Midnight In The Garden Of Good & Evil. During the 2009-2010 Broadway Season Craig made his Broadway debut as part of the producing team for Ragtime. The production received 7 Tony nominations and 9 Drama Desk nominations. Married to his second wife & native Californian - Carrie Ginsburg from Sacramento, they have one daughter named Stella. He also had 3 children with his first wife Robin who are Stephanie, Amy, Jeremy. Mr. Haffner's civic and professional activities include: Co-Chairman- TV Responds/Academy Of Television Arts & Science Los Angeles Chamber Of Commerce - Board Of Directors LAPD Historical Society - Board Of Directors LAPD Traffic Advisory Council National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) - Council Member Following the historic events of 09/11/01, Mr Haffner was one of three Hollywood Executives to organize meetings with The White House focusing industry participation for the war effort. He continues his service as a council member for the NEH.
