Pam Heffler grew up in the suburbs of Maryland. Audiences know her from her work in the feature film The Shift with Danny Glover, and the NBC series Heart Beat, and Love Bites. Her first artistic passion was dance and she graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst with a BFA . Pam pursued dance early in her career in Los Angeles where she very quickly became part of the Sarah Elgart Dance company, and danced in several films, television, and music videos ( fun fact: she's in the Depeche Mode video with Jenna Elfman). She studied Meisner technique with Fred Kareman in New York City. She has also studied acting with Sally Johnson, Dee Wallace, Jen Krater and Caryn West. In Los Angeles as a member of the Open Fist Theater Company she had leading roles in Henry IV, Casanova, Crave, and the Three Penny Opera. Other theater credits include Forty and Other Problems ( understudying the lead role for Maggie Wheeler) and most recently the leading role in the West Coast premiere of the two person production of Bar MItzvah Boy with the West Coast Jewish Theater. Additional credits include the VR horror short film Eye for an Eye, the dramatic short film Pushed ( raising awareness about domestic violence), along with several commercials. Pam still dances whenever and wherever she can, teaches Pilates, and always has an awesome vegetable garden. Pam credits Thoreau ( another nature lover) with her own personal motto: Keep dancing to the beat of your drum!
