Jacques Hébert

Hebert is a writer and producer that develops feature films and episodic projects for television. A French Canadian, Hebert is an ex-firefighter that became a successful contractor and went on to design lounges and nightclubs for clients such as the Four Seasons Hotel Group & Chateau Lake Louise. In the mid-'80s, Hebert left Canada and moved to the Virgin Islands. In1988, he caught the film industry bug when the magician David Copperfield hired him to work on his Emmy Award-winning "Bermuda Triangle Special". Afterward, Hebert followed his fever to Los Angeles where he studied Production Design at the American Film Institute under the guidance of Robert Boyle, Production Designer extraordinaire for Alfred Hitchcock. After AFI, he spent two years as an art director at Playboy Enterprises, and then build an impressive body of work designing and showcasing his vision and style in over 26 Independent Feature Films for companies such as Rhino Films, Sky International Films (Korea), and Showtime. Hebert also produced and directed a string of music videos & commercials on sound stages that he opened in 1998 in Los Angeles. That's when he changed his company name from 'Down To Earth Productions' to 'DTE Films'. Hebert now writes and develops his own material.
