Mark was born in New Milford, Connecticut, and grew up in New City, NY. After graduating from SUNY-Binghamton with a degree in Theater, he continued his studies as a graduate student at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Mark moved to Los Angeles after ACT and began his professional film and television career. At one point in time, Mark could be seen on the big screen in the 1987 cult comedy, "Terminal Exposure;" and on television in commercials for Jordache Basics (in which teens discussed sex - the ads were banned from some daytime and some networks), as well as on Saturday mornings, starring in "Kideo TV," a series for children. In the early 90's, Mark found himself a role, quite accidentally, as a teacher. He taught at New Directions in the San Fernando Valley, a high school for severely emotionally disturbed children who were all wards of the state of California. He was there for almost five years, before moving to Colorado Springs in the mid-90s. In the Springs, Mark taught at Community Prep School, a charter high school for at-risk students. While in Colorado, Mark would return to the theatre and worked as an actor, director, producer and Artistic Director on over 80 productions. During his time there, he did several tours of plays by Shakespeare; acted with Broadway veterans such as Kelly Walters, Susan Dawn Carson and Leah Chandler (Mills); directed the western premiere of "Doubt" (for TheatreWorks); produced the western premiere of "Rabbit Hole;" and was named Best Actor by the Colorado Springs' Gazette newspaper. In 2011, Mark returned to New York to resume his professional career.
