Born in The Washington D.C. area, Josh Hickman studied art from an early age. He graduated the Booker T. Washington School for Performing & Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas in 1988, having sold his first award-winning sculpture in his junior year. He graduated with a degree in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Texas, Austin in the Screenwriting Program. He began making his own 8mm films as a child and continued with video through his college years and beyond. He has worked as a writer, script doctor, international film festival organizer, film festival judge, cinematographer, actor, and associate producer. Mr. Hickman is also a musician and word-jazz artist, and is based in Hollywood, California.
