Carol Fenelon is known for her work as a Music Supervisor and Film Producer. She is also the CEO of Deuce Three Productions. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Yale and a law degree from the University of California, Carol was employed as a business affairs executive by both MCA Records and Warner Bros. Records in Los Angeles. She subsequently became the senior business executive for Irving Azoff at his Giant Entertainment shingle before relocating to New York to assume the role of Senior Vice-President of Business and Legal Affairs for Clive Davis at Arista Records in New York City. While still employed as a business executive in the record industry, Carol also worked with Curtis Hanson as his Music Supervisor and Soundtrack Album Producer on Bad Influence (1990), The River Wild (1994) and Wonder Boys (2000). Wonder Boys featured Bob Dylan's "Things Have Changed," which earned Dylan both a Golden Globe (2001) and the Academy Award for Best Original Song (2001). During their collaboration on Wonder Boys, Hanson persuaded Fenelon to leave her position at Arista Records and join him as his producing partner at Deuce Three Productions. Their first production effort was the film 8 Mile (2002). Carol was also the Music Supervisor on the film. 8 Mile featured Eminem's Academy Award winning song, "Lose Yourself," which he recorded for use in the movie and included on the 8 Mile soundtrack album entitled "8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture." "Lose Yourself" subsequently became Eminem's top selling single and was accorded Diamond status by the RIAA in 2018. Following the release of 8 Mile, Carol continued to collaborate with Hanson as both Film Producer and Music Supervisor on the Fox 2000 release In Her Shoes (2005) and the Warner Bros. feature film Lucky You (2007). Carol's more recent producing credits include the HBO film Too Big to Fail (2011), the FX television pilot Hoke (2014) and the documentary Skid Row Marathon (2017).
