Growing up Tenafly, New Jersey, just across the river from New York City, Kelly was able to enjoy all the artistic culture the "Big Apple" had to offer. As she once explained to Rob Kendt of Backstage West, " With a dad, uncle and grandfather all working in the industry one might naturally think that my acting roots grew out of that. But it was actually the family bi-monthly pilgrimages to the bright lights of the "Great White Way" and the latest Broadway plays which provided me with the inspiration that lead to a career in acting." But the fact that Kelly was a showbiz legacy certainly didn't hurt since it provided her with the opportunity to visit countless numbers of on-location and studio sets to watch the production of various feature films and network television shows. By the time Kelly reached high school she had been credited with dozens of lead roles in a variety of hit musicals and plays including "The Sound of Music", "Oklahoma", "Annie get Your Gun", "My Fair Lady" and "Grease" In addition to acting the versatile and talented Kelly Fennell also participated in the orchestra where she played piano, flute, trumpet and baritone horn. It was while attending William Paterson University where she earned her B.A. degree in Theatrical Arts that she was discovered by one of New York's leading modeling agents and soon began booking numerous national print and commercials jobs. Almost simultaneously she landed the lead role as Chrissy in the Off-Off Broadway production of "In The Boom, Boom, Room." followed closely behind by a nice role in the feature film, "Casualty" and a principal recurring on the ABC Soap "One Life To Live". Then it was on to the land of Palm Trees and nuts where she quickly snatched the plum little role of the cute blonde intern on NBC's "Days of Our Lives". With her dream of acting now a reality Kelly continued to stay busy with a number of network and feature screen roles which included "Whiskey River", "Ray of Sunshine", "Smith" and "Scrubs" which is likely to be just a few of a long string of hits from the classy blonde lass from Tenafly, New Jersey.
