Robert A Ferretti was born on 24 February, 1948. Whilst at school in his native New England he began to make films of his own and won a contest sponsored by the American Cinema Editors. After a spell in the Navy and at Quinnipiac College, Hartford, Connecticut where he learned about film he moved to Los Angeles and got his first work in television, editing NBC news and documentaries and series such as 'Gunsmoke' His first film as editor was 'Zapped' with Scott Baio and he has since worked steadily in film and television. He directed a low budget film 'Fear' and also invented a digital editing system called Goldfish.
