Sandy is the leader of legendary 1950s UK rock'n'roll band The Flying Saucers and has been so since the early 1970s. He probably won't remind you but he once had a non speaking part in EastEnders, a BBC soap opera! He has had many LP and CD releases. The band played on the back of a truck amongst the famous teddy boy march in London in 1976 in a bid to get 1950s rock n roll played on BBC national Radio One. It worked and within a few months DJs Stuart Colman and Geoff Barker presented "It's Rock N Roll" an hourly show on Saturday afternoons for a few years. The Flying Saucers were one of the guest bands playing "live".
