Todd was raised in Chicago where he studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. He moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to attend Cal Arts, where he finished 2 years before being hired at Turner Features to animate on "Pagemaster". He is a sometimes model who appears in music videos, most recently in Elton John's "This Train Don't Stop Here no More", directed by David La Chappelle. He lives in Silver Lake, California.
