Peter Friedman is an American actor whose career spans theater, film, and television. A Hofstra University graduate, he began on Broadway in the early 1970s and became a steady presence in New York’s theater scene, earning Tony and Drama Desk nominations for his stage performances. He later built a prolific screen career, appearing in films such as Safe, The Savages, and She Said. On television, he is known for roles in The Affair, The Path, and particularly Succession (2018–2023), where his portrayal of Frank Vernon earned him two Screen Actors Guild Awards as part of the ensemble cast. In 2024, he returned Off-Broadway, continuing his long association with New York’s theater community.
