Sam Lanier

Lanier was an actual dispatcher for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, serving from 1958 to 1977. Similar to the casting of actual Los Angeles Police Department dispatcher Shaaron Claridge for voice work the series "Adam-12' (1968-1975) by Jack Webb and R.A. Cinader, Lanier was chosen by them for their fire-rescue-medical series 'Emergency!' (1972-1977) to perform comparable work.
