Victoria Lang has established PLus Films as one of the most visible independent film companies in New York City. Her keen eye for talent and sense of integrity have made PLus a sought after producing partner. Victoria's eye has lead to the production of Aaron Sorkin's (The West Wing, A Few Good Men, The American President) first play Removing All Doubt starring Kevin Bacon, Matthew Broderick, Fisher Stevens, Tim Daly, Lonny Price, Dinah Manhoff and Tracy Pollan; the creation of television's Crossing Over With John Edward; and HBO's hugely successful *61 (The Roger Maris Story) directed by Billy Crystal. With her partner, Pier Paolo Piccoli, Victoria has produced the independent feature Macbeth in Manhattan (1999), a contemporary telling of the classic story, starring Gloria Reuben (ER), John Glover (Love, Valour, Compassion!, Payback), and Harold Perrineau (William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet, The Edge, Oz). Macbeth In Manhattan was honored with the Best Feature award at the South Beach Film Festival, the Audience Award at the Long Island Film Festival and was chosen for the dramatic feature competition at the prestigious 1999 South by Southwest and Florida Film Festivals. It was also selected as the Premiere Film at the 16th annual Long Island Film Festival and was one of only five U.S. films asked to screen and under special consideration for competition at the Cannes Film Festival (Critics' Week and Director's Fortnight). She also produced the online serial movie, Chaos Theory (2000), airing for thirty days in three minute episodes on Alloy Online (www.Alloy.com), a leading website destination for teens. Chaos Theory follows the post-millennial, Blair Witch Project-meets-MTV "Road Rules" adventures of a group of high school students on a New York City field trip gone awry. The film showcases the musical talents and special guest appearance by Atlantic Records' recording star Angela Via. Previous credits include the independent feature films Dark Tides (1998), starring The Agency's Paige Turco and Melrose Place's John Haymes Newton which premiered on Showtime; Perfect Lies (1998), starring High Art's Charis Michelsen; and The Fountain Of Death, all of which are currently in worldwide distribution. For her work as a Producer on the popular nationally syndicated television show "Live With Regis & Kathie Lee," Victoria Lang has received three Emmy Award nominations. She then went on to Create and Executive Produce "Haven", a syndicated weekly half-hour sponsored program on home decorating starring Joy (Mrs. Regis) Philbin, which is now enjoying a successful seventh season. Ms. Lang co-produced and wrote the highly prosperous 1994 and 1995 Pledge Specials for PBS: 'Guy Lombardo: The Sweetest Music This Side Of Heaven' and 'Glenn Miller's Greatest Hits', starring Kathie Lee Gifford. For A&E, she produced the star-studded, top rated network special 'Rosemary Clooney's Demi-Centennial: Golden Anniversary (1995), starring Tony Bennett, Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, Joanne Woodward, Barry Manilow, Diane Sawyer, Bob Hope and George Clooney. Ms. Lang served as Senior Vice President and Director of the Broadcast Department at the Rowland Company, a division of Saatchi and Saatchi. There, she worked within the company to develop innovative broadcasting concepts such as sponsored entertainment, educational programming and infomercials. Additionally at Rowland, she supervised network and local placement activity, satellite and video news release production and distribution. Ms. Lang has worked with Lorimar/Warner Brothers Television, Saban Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting, and Stephen J. Cannell Productions on program development, served as Production Executive for Elizabeth Taylor/Zev Bufman Productions, Media Coordinator for American Cinema Releasing, and Talent Coordinator for Guber-Gross Productions, producing stage shows with the brightest names in the music and comedy arenas. In 1993 she formed the Lang Entertainment Group, Inc. to develop and produce television and home video entertainment. In 1995 Ms. Lang joined with Pier P. Piccoli to form PLus Films, Inc., an independent film production company focusing on commercial features. In addition, they created PLus Media, Inc. to develop and produce lifestyle programming for national and local television. Ms. Lang is a member of New York Women in Film and Television, the Independent Feature Project, the British Academy of Film & Television, the National Association of Television Programming Executives, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the International Radio and Television Society, the Drama Desk Association, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in American Professionals and Who's Who in American Women, and has served as a judge for the Long Island Film Festival, the Emmy Awards, The FilmMakers.com screenwriting competition and the International Film and Television Festival of New York. Victoria is proud to serve on the Advisory Board committee of Step-Up New York. She attended Emerson College and is a summa cum laude graduate of Long Island University.
