“Filmmaking is a teamwork, but you always have to be willing to make decisions on your own. It's a constant challenge.” She made her film debut as an actress as a child in Jean-Loup Hubert's L'Année prochaine... si tout va bien, quickly landing other roles in major films. In her early teens, she met Luc Besson, whom she married, had a daughter and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16, which took her away from her artistic work for a while. When she turned twenty, she divorced and returned to France, where restarting her career was not easy. Therefore, she turned to live comedy shows, with autobiographical monologues that were very well received and allowed her to reinsert herself in the industry. She made her directorial debut with Pardonnez-moi in 2006, a film nominated for the César Awards in the categories of best debut feature and best new actress, effectively reviving her career and prestige.
