Blanche Le Claire signed a long term contract at Paramount's Astoria Studios in November 1926. Her first role for Paramount was as a dancer in the costume ball scene of "Love'Em and Leave'Em" (1926) starring Louise Brooks. In Spring of 1927, Blanche travelled west to make films at Paramount in California. Some of the films she featured in were "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "The Spotlight." In June 1928, Blanche signed a contract with MGM. She dropped the "e" from her surname, becoming Blanche Le Clair. Whilst at MGM, Blanche featured in "Shadows of the Night" with Flash the dog. In October 1928, Variety reported that Blanche would get her first important role as Bessie Love's team member in "The Broadway Melody" but this role eventually went to Anita Page. Blanche had a small role in the 1929 Paramount film "Jealousy" starring Jeanne Eagles. By 1930, Blanche had quit the movies and concentrated on her stage career, starring in the musical "Great Day" (which became an unfinished film production at MGM starring Joan Crawford.)
