Actor
Date of birth : 09/29/1971
City of birth : Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Born to the parents of Anna Manning and Jack Koon, two Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton during the Vietnam war, his mother returned to Boston after she was dismissed from the Corps for her pregnancy. His father would later go on to have two more children, Amanda ("Koon") Ferdin and John Patrick Koon, by two other women. He dabbled in various art forms during his school years, most notably at the Henry Dearborn, Boston English High and lastly at U-Mass, Boston. His schooling included acting, music, writing, photography and film production. It was his writing that would give him most of his confidence, while his acting talents tended to "show up at odd times". Though having done small indie and student films, either in front of or behind the camera, it was in 1994, by pure chance, he hooked up with Brad Anderson. While being videotaped for a segment in Anderson's film, The Darien Gap (1996), he rambled for an hour and at some point managed to sum up the whole message of the film. Unorthodox, absurd, and strangely appealing, he can make you roll out with laughter or make a tear come to your eye. Not one for convention, he left his home town of Boston, Massachusetts, leaving a well paying job at Harvard Business School, to retire at the age of 29 because "after landing a job that paid me $16 an hour to do absolutely nothing, I figured I'd peaked". After relocating and living for 6 months in the peaceful town of Patterson, California, he left for Los Angles after he realized his immense dislike of "small towns in the middle of nowhere". 6 months into his stay in L.A., he became homeless due to a bad roommate situation. He took it as an adventure and explored the Media Mecca and was constantly intrigued by seeing celebrities living everyday lives. He returned to Boston after 10 months of vagabond adventures and has taken up writing again.
